William Morris is one of the founders
of the Arts & Crafts movement and a pioneer of the "Eco-socialism"
movement. He was active in using art and architecture to transform daily
life. He promoted handicrafts and discounted the machine made. In his
book, Hopes and Fears for Art, Morris discusses his philosophy of art
and architecture.
